Well i am here in Arequipa, Peru. My final flight made it here on Thursday morning. Getting here was something that I had a little bit of worry about. I of course was flying alone, which was new to me. Most of my worry was for when I made it to Lima and then was suppose to check through customs. Then I had to go get my ticket from the counter with a person that spoke spanish with broken english. I was able to find my way around ok but it took me longer to figure some things out. God did bless me with safe travels to get here.
The day I got here I just spent time talking with the family that i will be staying with (Kyle and Larrissa Smith and 3 girls) and 2 of my other interns (Gerina and Kayla), and we just spent time recovering from our travels. Yesterday we had our orientation with everyone, which included me meeting the other intern (Lisette) and most of the other family down here (Megan McKinzie and 3 children). Greg is in the States and will be back on Monday.
Not gonna be super detailed, but I am really looking forward to getting to work with my fellow interns and the families that are here. Continue to check in on me here as I update you all on my learning and adventures in the beautiful city of Arequipa.
